My cozy in-home studio in Helensburgh is full of gorgeous natural light, warm colours and soft textures. If you want guaranteed beautiful lighting and photos of your newborn and family that are simple, timeless and artistically styled, then an in-studio session is for you.

How does it all work?

Once you’ve decided an in-studio session is perfect for your family, we will work together to find a day and time that suits. I will then send through a booking link to make it all official! Your booking link contains a contract, invoice and questionnaire - so that I can get to know you and your family and ensure I give you the best possible experience. Every family and baby are unique, and it’s important to me that you get a session that is specifically catered to you.

I have a handful of beautiful, handmade knitted outfits to choose from for your baby, as well as plenty of lovely wraps and blankets. Of course, you’re welcome to bring along your own outfits, blankets, toys - or anything that is special to you- for your session as well.

  • It’s good to book your session as soon as possible to ensure you don’t miss out. I book newborn sessions to be flexible, as baby’s usually come when they’re ready, rather than on their due date. For this reason, I only book a maximum of 3 newborn sessions a week to allow for a bit of movement, should sessions need to be moved back or forward.

  • All you need to bring is anything you’d like bub photographed with that may be special to you (special outfit, toy, blanket, etc.). I also recommend bringing along a dummy - as it can be helpful for settling. It’s also helpful to have formula or expressed breastmilk in a bottle, but not necessary. We will probably be feeding bub along the way, so if you’re breastfeeding it’s helpful to wear a breastfeeding-friendly outfit. However, these are just tips not requirements!

  • Absolutely! If you have a toddler though, I do recommend a staggered start. We usually start the session with bub by themselves, then move onto a few photos of bub with mum. If toddler’s are involved the whole time, they get pretty over by the time it’s their turn for photos. If possible, I recommend mum bring the baby along by herself first for some nice quiet time. That being said I have two toddlers myself and plenty of toys to keep them entertained if that’s not an option!

  • Studio sessions usually last around 2 hours. This allows plenty of time for settling, feeds, cuddles, nappy changes or whatever else bub needs during the session. With 2 hours we don’t feel rushed and can simply enjoy the process. I you to walk away with not only beautiful photos, but a beautiful experience.

  • Absolutely! I have an online print shop that you will receive access to when you receive your online gallery. For all newborn sessions I also offer $100 print credit to be used in the shop. All products are made by Australian printers and are of the highest quality, so you are sure to have whatever you purchase for a lifetime. I can also show you some print samples during your session.

  • Don’t worry! This is very common concern. Once your session is booked I will send through a “what to wear” guide to help feel prepared and ready for your session.
