Playful and meaningful family photos so you always remember

Your current everyday might not seem special - but these days won’t last forever. So let’s capture those cheeky smiles and sweet cuddles before they’re all grown up.

Have you heard the phrase, ‘the days go by slow, but the years go by fast’? As a mum to three small children this rings so true for me. I blink and they’ve learned something new or grown 5 cm before my very eyes.

This is why family photos are so important… they’re the memory keepers that can give our tired mum brain the reassurance that this time will never be forgotten.

Let me help you remember this precious & fleeting time forever.

Where to from here- planning your session

You’ve decided to have photos taken, now what?

Once you contact me we will work out a date that suits for your session. I will then send you a booking link to make everything official. A small, non-refundable deposit is due at this time to secure your session date. Your booking link will contain a questionnaire so I can get to know you and your family better and plan the perfect session for you. We will also work out the best location for you. While I have a distinct style and system in place to get us from start to finish efficiently, this isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach. Each session is designed from a uniquely informed perspective that is guided by you, your family and your preferences.

  • Family sessions typically take place at sunrise or sunset - whichever would be best for your family. This ensure we get the ideal light for beautiful photos.

For in-home photoshoots your session can take place at whatever time is most convenient for you. I always recommend that clients have a look at how the light is in there home throughout the day and take that into consideration when deciding.

  • Your booking link contains an invoice, questionnaire and contract. The questionnaire allows me to get to know you and your family a bit better so I can plan the perfect session for you.

  • I live in Helensburgh, NSW, and travel to South Sydney down to Wollongong.

  • I can send through a style guide for your family session so that you can feel as prepared as possible and ensure that your photos turn out beautiful. The colours you choose to wear and whether you’re coordinating can definitely make a difference to the end result.

  • I want this session to be catered specifically to you. So if there is anything about your family or overall story that you want to try to capture then let’s talk about it! I love when families bring along something that’s special to them or have an idea for a photo that is part of their story. For example, maybe you order pizza from the same place every Friday - then let’s have a pizza picnic, or maybe you are a massive footy family and want to bring a ball along - great! These are YOUR photos and I want them to reflect YOU.

FAQs

  • Prices reflect immediate family only. If you’d like to book an extended family session or enquire about pricing, simply fill out the form on the ‘contact’ page and include how many would be involved, and I can send through a personalised quote.

  • Yes! When you receive your private, online gallery you will also have access to my online print and frame shop. I have partnered with two high-quality printers in Australia to bring my clients easy-to-access, beautiful products so that their photos can be properly showcased for years to come.

  • I totally get this worry. It can be a bit daunting bringing your uncooperative toddler to a photoshoot. But my approach and style focuses on real family moments. We want to capture their real smiles and connection to you, so I won’t ask you to stand there and smile at the camera. We will have fun, play, have a ‘picnic’, splash, run - and I will simply capture the fun that unfolds. But don’t worry, I will definitely still try to get a classic photo of everyone smiling for Grandma’s fridge too.

  • Absolutely! I’m a big dog-person, so I would love for you to bring your dog/s. We will simply have to pick a location that allows for them to be there. Don’t worry, I’ve got a couple of options up my sleeve.
